This iron-on repair patch is intended for small repairs on GORE-TEX or any waterproof fabric.
The patch is well suited to repairing small punctures, tears, holes or burns in clothing and gear such as rainwear and tents from home. Please be aware that because of the adhesive, the patched area will have reduced breathability but, if properly used will retain its waterproof properties. Please follow all directions closely. Contact our customer service department if you have any questions or if you are unable to repair your garment.
Directions
1. For best results apply to a clean, dry surface.
2. Sew together the damaged area (sewing kit not included).
3. Cut patch to size with scissors allowing for the patch size to extend at least 2.5 cm (1 inch) beyond all edges of the damaged area. Rounding the corners of the patch will create a more secure fit.
4. Place patch on the inside of the garment over the damaged area.
5. Place an ironing patch of scrap material over the patch and press down firmly with iron set to medium heat (approximately 160 degrees celsius for 20 seconds.
6. Remove ironing cloth and allow to cool completely, if necessary repeat step 5 to improve adhesion.
